Dal ( Parippu Curry)



Ingrediants

1. Dal ( Parippu)                                                : 1/2 cup

2. Big Onion (small onion)                                :  1 ( 5 or 6 nos.)

3. Red chilly powder                                          : 11/2 teaspoon

4. Salt                                                                  : Required quantity

5. Coconut oil                                                     : 2 tablespoon

6.  Tomato                                                           : 2 nos.

7. Curry leaves                                                   :  few

8. Mustard                                                           : 1 tablespoon

9. Turmeric Powder                                           : 1/2 spoon

10 Water                                                             : 1 cup

             Cook dal in a pressure cooker by adding 1 cup water for 3 or 4 whistle may come. Cut onion into small pieces . Take bowl shape pan and heat oil.Then add mustard, onion and curry leaves into it and fry it well. When  onion becomes golden brown,add tomato and stir it well. After a few minutes add cooked dal and turmeric powder into the pan and stir it again. Cook for a while. Add required quantity of salt to it . Turn off the gas and add few Curry leaves to it and close it.

 Dal is ready to serve with Rice  or chappathi
