Potato Bonds
Ingredients
1. Potato: 3 or 4nos.
2. Big onion: 2 nos.(cut into small pieces)
3. Ginger: 1 small piece(cut into very tiny pieces)
4. Green chilly: 2 now.(cut it into small pieces
5. Salt : require quantity
6. Any vegetable oil : 2 table spoon for cooking and 1 1/2 cup for frying
7. Curry leaves : few
8. Turmeric powder: 1/2 spoon.
For covering
9. Kadala mavu(gra, flour): 1/2 cup
10. Red chilli powder: 2 spoon
11. Salt : required quantity
12. Kayam(asafoetida) : 1/4 spoon
Preparation
Take potato and cook it in cooker by adding 2 cup of water and make 3 or 4 vissil. Take a pan and add 2 spoon oil and add cutted pieces of onion, ginger and green chillies to the pan and fry for a while. Add 1/2 cup water and cook for a while. Take the cooked potato and peel it and smash it with hand. Then add smashed potato and and stir it well. Add required salt and mix it well and make it as a paste by stiring it with spoon.
Take a bowl. Add gram flour( kadala mavu), salt, chilly powder and kayam(asafoetida) and make it as a liquid paste by adding few water.
Take small quantity of the first potato mix in your hand and make it as a shape of ball and dip it into the second kadalamavu liquid paste and put it into heated oil pan. When the ball becomes golden brown take it out and put it on a plate. Serve to children with tomato sauce.
