Ingredients for Turkish Chicken Kababs Recipe
Boneless chicken leg, cut into 1 inch pieces 400 gramsHung yogurt ¼ cup
Olive oil 2 tablespoons
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Tomato ketchup 1½ tablespoons
Garlic cloves finely chopped 8-10
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
Red chilli flakes 2 teaspoons
Paprika 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder a pinch
Oil for shallow frying
Method
Step 1Combine hung yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, tomato ketchup, garlic, salt, crushed peppercorns, chilli flakes, paprika, cumin powder and cinnamon powder in a bowl and whisk well.
Step 2
Add the chicken pieces and mix well. Refrigerate to marinate for six to eight hours.
Step 3
Skewer the marinated chicken pieces onto satay sticks and set aside.
Step 4
Heat some oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the skewers on the pan and shallow-fry on medium heat till both sides turn golden and the chicken is cooked.
Step 5
Serve immediately.
