Tomato Rice ( Thakkali choru)

Thakkali choru (Tomato Rice)



Ingredients

1. Big onion : 3 nos
2. Biriyani rice : 1 cup
3. Ginger : 1 small piece
4. Garlic : 5 - 6 cloves
5. Tomato : 2 now.
6. Salt : required quantity
7. Coriander leaves : few
8. Dalda ( ghee) : 4 spoon
9. Chilly powder : 1 spoon
10. Gar am masala : 11/2 spoon
11. Cashew nuts : 4- 5 no's
12. Dry fruits : 5- 6 nos

Preparation

Take a bowl and add biriyani rice and few water to it. Dip rice for 15 minute. Taka a medium utensil and fill water at a level of 3/4 th.. Boil it and add  1 spoon oil and few salt to it. Add washed rice to it and cook for few minutes. Check whether it is cooked. Then drain the water using filter. 
Clean and cut onion into long pieces, ginger and garlic into small pieces. Take a mp large pan. Heat Dada and add onion, garlic, ginger pieces and fry it until it become golden brown colour. Then add square pieces of tomato and fry it again. Then add chilly powder and turmeric powder and gar am masala to it and stir it well. Cook for a while. Add required salt to it. Add cooked rice slowly and stir it well. Low the flame of gas and mix it well. Add cut ted coriander leaves to it . take a small pan. Add 1 spoon ghee and fry nuts and fruit  and add to the rice and mix well. Close it with a lid and cook for few seconds. If you want salt, add again .

Tomato rice is ready. You can eat with curd salad , papadam and any pickle.
