Banana flower(Vazhakoombu) Cutlet
Ingredients:
1.Vazhakoombu: 1 no.
2. Potato: 3 no's.
3. Big onion: 2 now.(small)
4. Ginger : 1 small piece
5. Green chilli: 1 no.
6. Salt : required quantity
7. Gar am masala : 1 spoon
8. Meat masala : 1 teaspoon
9. Chilli powder: 1/2 spoon
10. Coriander leaves : few
11. Egg: 1 no.
12. Cornflakes or rawa: 1 cup
13. Any vegetable oil : 11/2 cup
Preparation:
Take theflower(koombu) and open the outer layers of koombu and take the lighter section of koombu and cut it into small pieces and mix it with 1 spoon coconut oil with hand. Cut onion,ginger and green chilly into small pieces. Cook potato in the cooker by adding 1 cup of water into it and cook for until 3 or 4 whistle may came.
Take a rounded pan and heat 1 spoon oil. Add cutter onion,ginger and green chilly into it and fry it well. Then add koombu into it and add gar am masala, meat masala, salt, chilli powder, cutter coriander leaves into it and add 1/4 cup of water and cook for few minutes. Then take the potato and peel it and smash it with hand very well. Add these to the koombu mix and mix it well. Add salt if necessary.
Take cornflakes into a jar and chop it with mixer. Put these chopped cornflakes into a wide plate. Take an egg into a bowl and beat it well. Take the koombu mix like small lemon size and make it round shape ,press it with two hands and dip it into the egg and spread the cornflakes chopped powder. Heat oil, put the balls slowly one by one and fry it until it become brown in colour. Take it out and serve it with sauce.
