Chicken manjooriyan
Recipe Ingredients:
1. Chicken (boneless) – 500gm2. Onion – 2
3. Capsicum – 1
4. Ginger – one inch piece
5. Garlic- 10 flakes
6. Cornflour – 3 tsp
7. Salt - to taste
8. Chilly powder – 1 tsp
9. Soya Sauce- 2 tsp
10. Tomato chilly sauce- 2 to 3 tsp
11. Maggi chicken cubes – 2
12. Sugar- one pinch
13. Sunflower oil – 50 ml
Preperation
Cut chicken into small cubes and fry it in oil till it turns light brown. Care should be taken to remove water from the chicken cubes before frying. Add salt to the chicken while frying.Cut onion into small cubes and separate the layers. Cut capsicum into similar pieces.Heat oil in a pan and add coarsely ground ginger and garlic and fry it lightly. Add the onion pieces and toss it for a minute. Add capsicum and the fried chicken cubes. Reduce the flame and add salt, soya sauce, chilly powder, powdered Maggi chicken cubes, tomato chilly sauce and the pinch of sugar. Stir the mixture for 3 minutes. Add cornflour mixed in two cups water to the pan. Let the mixture cook in full flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce the flame and let it simmer for another 3 to 5 minutes or till the gravy thickens. Remove from the flame and serve with fried rice.
